To summarize the nursing experience of a patient with peritoneal dialysis catheter tunnel infection. The key points of nursing include: first, carry out a comprehensive assessment, covering catheter-associated infection, peritonitis, nutritional status and risk factors for home dialysis to clarify the degree of infection and individualized needs; Secondly, local precision care is realized, with amikacin punctular injection under ultrasound guidance, combined with abscess incision and drainage and pulsed irrigation with indwelling needles. Finally, multi-dimensional comprehensive nursing is carried out, including standardized care for catheter outlet, external application of ginger to promote the dissipation of induration, individualized nutritional support, operation retraining and psychological counseling. After 28 days of comprehensive treatment and nursing, the patient's infection symptoms were significantly controlled, local redness and swelling subsided, the catheter function was good, the infection did not recur, and he was discharged from the hospital smoothly.
